Choccywoccydoodah: Chocolate Heaven in London

If you are in Soho (specifically the Carnaby Street area) then I definitely recommend going to Choccywoccydoodah. It’s the closest bit of heaven to London. Seriously. Chocolates here are works of art.  And no- this isn’t a sponsored post, I just love recommending restaurants and places in London that really tickle my fancy!

The flagship store is in Brighton and I’d love to visit it. But I’ll have to make due with the London branch for now. Business has increased for them after being featured on Good Food. The amazing thing about the shop is that the chocolates are intricate AND delicious. They taste as good as they look!

This is what you see when you walk into the store.
It’s all decked out for Halloween already.

Yes, that is a solid chocolate skull.

And how could a visit be complete with a trip upstairs to the Chocolate Cafe? (Hint: it couldn’t be.) I’d read stories online of people waiting 30-45 minutes to be seated in the Cafe. Luckily, Sam and I were seated right away, which gave us free reign to ogle the Cafe.

You get a choice of cakes, brownies, cookies, ice cream sundaes, and many many other treats.

I couldn’t get over the gorgeous perfect layering inside this cake!

We nabbed a little love-seat in a corner overlooking the rest of the cafe and the shop. I got settled in, making myself at home.

Those cobwebs got stuck in my hair the second I tried to stand up.

I had read brilliant things about the hot chocolate, so I knew going in that it was what I was going to order. You can pick between dark, milk and white chocolate. (I picked milk.) Then it’s topped with cream, marshmallows and a chocolate twirl.  Sam ordered an espresso, which he claimed was delicious, but I was too distracted by my own beverage to even remember that he was sitting next to me, let alone enjoying a drink himself.

It just looks decadent. It tasted 100 million times better than it looks. That says a lot.

I started tackling it by eating my chocolate twirl.

I expected the twirl to be hollow. I was shocked that it was solid!
What an amazing extra treat!

Only a good hot chocolate can bring this look of joy to my face.

I’d like to think of myself as somewhat of a hot chocolate connoisseur. I can firmly say that this is the best hot chocolate that I have experienced in London.

I hope you all have spooky plans for tomorrow!
