Travel || Newcastle-upon-Tyne, England (The Summary)

So I’ve now spent approximately 4 weeks of my life in Newcastle.  I feel like I can pretty safely make some good recommendations about what to do with your time when you go to visit the Toon. Also if you visit in the winter, come prepared. It’s going to be cold. And the locals don’t really seem to notice!

So here’s a list of things I think you should do in Newcastle:

Go see The Suggestibles (An amazing improv comedy show)
Explore Tynemouth Castle and Priory.
Talk a walk in Jesmond Dene (See my post on it here.)
Go to the Baltic (It’s really hit or miss depending on what exhibits are in but the view is always great)
Walk across the Tyne Bridge to the Sage
Take the Metro to the coast and have a lovely walk. (See my post here.)
Have a boozy night out
See a film at Tyneside Cinema
Go to the Tynemouth Market on a Sunday.
See a show Northern Stage
Go to the Laing Gallery

I also have some lovely food recommendations as well!:

Olive and Bean (For coffee and cakes)
Dean and Daniela’s
Living Room (For sweet cocktail hour!)
Las Iguanas (For tapas)
