What 2013 Has Been To Me

2013 has been a year of immense highs and lows for me. This past year, there have been times where I have been ecstatically happy as well as times where I felt like my heart was breaking.

2013 in Review

I have lived in many different places. I moved flats twice in London, then lived in Stratford-upon-Avon, then at home in Albuquerque, New Mexico, then back to Stratford, then Newcastle and finally back to London for hopefully a prolonged period of time.

I defeated the UK Border Agency for the time being. IE, after a miserable, horrible several months of waiting in America for my UK visa to return to my now home in England it was finally granted and I don’t have to worry about it for a few more years now. And then we shall do the process again (but it will hopefully be easy as I just have to apply for further leave to remain instead of leave to remain).

I started a blog and the end of January/beginning of February and I am amazed by it’s current growth!

My blog’s big milestone last month!

Except for our separation of whilst waiting for my visa, Sam and I have lived together for all of 2013.

I went to 4 weddings this year.

Sam and I traveled to Turkey together.

I turned 25. Meaning I am no longer in my early twenties and no where closer to “acting my age”. Whereas my brother turned 21.

I am still trying to find a group of friends that I am as close to (or will eventually be as close to) as the group of friends that I have left behind in America. (How do you make friends once school is done?)

Sam did a full season at the Royal Shakespeare Company.

His little face was in multiple programs throughout this year.

I received my Master’s degree diploma.

It feels more official now that I have something to hold in my hands!

I’m still struggling to find a well paying full time job.

Family relations continue to be stressful, as per usual.

I finished my 4th fall in the UK!

I hope that 2014 is less turbulent than 2013 and that I grow in peace, with firm love and more friendship in my life.

What are some of the highlights of this past year for your?
