What’s in My Bag?

Today I am joining the lovely Rebekah from All That Glitters to post about what is actually in my purse. There’s nothing overwhelmingly exciting in there, but at the same time I do feel like it’s a good representation of my day to day activities.  Also I hope someone can solve my earbud conundrum for me! Teach me your ways, please…

Clockwise starting at the top of the photo:

1. Badly beaten umbrella. It has seen better days for sure, but I have to always have one with me in London.

2. Really, really tangled ipod earbuds. What is it about these guys that prevents them from staying neatly unknotted? Is there some trick I missed out on?

3. Oyster Card in it’s pouch. An Oyster Card is just your metro card for the Tube in London.

4. Tangle Teezer. My old housemate gave me one for my birthday, after borrowing hers all the time. I’d never go back to a regular brush. My hair gets tangled really easily and it’s very thick. I never knew brushing could be so painless! I wish I could go back in time and give my 7 year old self one. Anyone with a daughter needs one.

5. Kate Spade wallet. It’s bursting with 100 different types of cards in there. Railcards, IDs, drivers license, bank cards, silly loyalty cards. You get the idea.

6. Keys. Self-explanatory.

7. Various hair restraining devices. You can always count on me to have at least one hair tie and several bobby pins on my person at all times.

8. Hand sanitizer. If you’ve spent any time around little kids you realise that the fight against germs and stickiness never ends.

9. Rimmel Wake Me Up under eye concealer. I have an ongoing battle with under eye circles no matter how much sleep I’ve gotten.

10. Lipsticks. I usually have two in my bag, plus my Burt’s Bees (which has recently gone missing). My go-to’s are Nars and Chanel.

11. Loose change. I always have some jangling around in my purse. I find at least 5p on the ground every day. I am like a human Niffler. (If you get that reference, we are meant to be best friends.)

12. Pen. Again pretty self-explanatory.

13. Nectar coupons. Sainsbury’s is really close by so I always have a few coupons floating around.

14. Old train ticket stubs. My rail travel is tax deductible, so it’s important to save your old tickets but mine just live in my bag till the end of the tax year usually….

15. Iphone. Yes my phone has ears, and no, I am not ashamed of it.

16. Earmuffs. I don’t care if I look 12 years old in them, they are a necessity to me. If my ears get even slightly cold they ache painfully (what feels like) all the way to my brain. Any doctor readers out there….?

Most of the time I am carrying my old, but trusty Coach bag.  What’s always in your bag?
