My Dream Country Wardrobe

I have a longstanding love for the very British brand Joules. From including them in my best of Britain fashion post, to the photoshoot I did when I first wore a pair of Joules brogues it’s been a match made in heaven.

Longtime readers of Rhyme & Ribbons will know that I love a country chic aestitic. If I had my way, I’d be living in a tiny little cottage in the countryside covered in vines and flowers. (Like Ms. Honey’s cottage in Matilda.) I was recently asked to create a moodboard/wishlist with some pieces from Joules and I came up with this board for wearing while ambling around my little home.In this ideal world I’d have a super cuddly, fluffy dog and I’d wear a women’s quilted jacket and some fun spotted wellies while taking him for a walk. I’d wear this lovely tailored shirt and cardigan around the house where I’d have an enormous kitchen that always smelled of something gorgeous cooking in the oven. I love all their selection of  women’s tunic dresses,  like this jersey striped sweater dress that I’d wear with whimsical earrings when Sam and I wander down to our local via country lane for a Sunday roast.
Have you purchased clothing from Joules before?

I love everything with stripes! That dress definitely is calling for me! 🙂

    • I love stripes as well! And florals. And polka dots. Maybe I’m just a pattern kind of girl. (Although I’m wearing stripes as I type this.) xx

  • Love those wellies!!

I’ve clearly been away from Britain too long… I don’t even know Joules!

    • Haha, I think Joules has been around since the 1980s but it was fairly rural 🙂 but has really taken off over the past 5 years or so. x

  • I love the wellies! And I’m in need of some wellies… 😉

  • Oh, the wellies! So cute! I had a plain black pair but they were boring so I gave them to my sister. And now I’m rainboot-less. I must remedy this immediately! 🙂

    • I say some cute rainboots at target last summer, so I bet they’ll get some great ones in for the fall! x

  • Love this! I want that striped dress!

Thanks for linking up for Tuesday Pretties!

  • that dress! That jacket! Mmmmmm.

    • Right?! Beautiful clothes! x

      • I’m loving them. I’m this close to pitching a brand ambassadorship to them. I got a tote bag from them and I think my followers are going to be sick of seeing it by next weekend, but it’s so damn great and I literally use it every day. /o

  • I love these – as always! I remember there was a Joules shop in St Andrews (of any shops, of course there was a Joules in St Andrews) and I would walk in every now and then to check out the clothes and their wellies – I just loved it in there! A bit too expensive for me sadly, but maybe one day 🙂 I’ll be in need of a new pair of wellies when I’m back in the Uk, so we never know!

  • I have those exact boots, get them, they are the comfiest wellies ever!

  • a) love that you included food in the collage
    b) I love that jacket!
    c) I’m asking for a pair of proper wellies for Christmas this year. mine have holes in!

    • I own a pair of joules wellies and they’ve really treated me well. Plus they are a bit cheaper than Hunters but with the same feeling of sturdiness. (None of these are affiliate links if you want to have some fun browsing). Country home = food (to me.) Although home = food…. x

  • That yellow cardigan is gorgeous!

  • Super cute! I’ve never heard of Joules before but must look it up

    • I think it’s just in the UK right now but with expansion plans worldwide soonish… (Like to the US) x

I would live in a Joules catalogue if I could.

  • Sigh. I just love Joules clothing. That mustard cardigan is going straight onto my wishlist for Autumn. A girl can dream! x

Most of my clothes are still joules and most of my bags are Cath Kidston – I will just have to stock up whenever I go home!
