Saying Goodbye to Summer 2014

The summer is almost over and most bloggers already seem to be looking forward to the fall. I’m not one of them. Yes, I love Pumpkin Spice Lattes and baking with pumpkin, but I am a summer child. And I have no qualms about using autumnal flavours out of season to get the best of both worlds.  You can take a look at my ABCs of Summer post to see how much I accomplished from my list (hint: not much).

Summer in Review:

I was reunited with my best friend in Paris!
I started a Great British Bake Along quasi spoof that I am getting weekly enjoyment out of.
I successfully made bread.
Rhyme & Ribbons moved and became WordPress self-hosted. (Although not all my Disqus comments have transferred. In fact 100s have dissapeared. Disqus I’m giving you the side-eye.)
I painted our gross wardrobe. Now it is less gross.
I saw my first cricket game.
I went on many, many picnics.
I explored the epically lovely Eltham Palace.
I actually watched bits and pieces of the World Cup.
I went to my first cooking class at the Underground Cookery School.

Some of my favourite posts of the summer:

How Sam and I First Met
Exploring the English Countryside
Portobello Road Market
I saw the inside of the Paris Opera House
Attending the Hackney WickED Art Festival
A ricotta stuffed chicken recipe
Who’d Play You in the Movie Version of Your Life
Yes, I Did Eat That
