Fashion + Afternoon Tea = Greatness

I was fortunate enough to be invited along with Emma to the L.K. Bennett Autumn / Winter 2014 preview at The Marylebone Hotel. There were two sessions: afternoon and evening.  With afternoon tea being served at the afternoon session (attended by Angie), and an evening twist on the classic afternoon tea at the later one. It was a salon style runway, meaning the models walked around to each table/group individually instead of down a catwalk. I had mostly been familiar with L.K. Bennett shoes (owning a pair of oxblood patant leather pumps myself) so it was lovely to be exposed to their clothing line as well.

All the food was done on the hotel premises at the Marylebone’s own Pantry at 108.  (They have an entire gluten-free afternoon tea, if that’s of interest to you. Emma was able to try it so go to her for recommendations!) I absolutely loved the savoury selection. The sweets were incredible (my favourite treat was the passionfruit mousse) but the savouries, my oh my. Does anything beat an excellent sausage roll? I think not!

The Marylebone Hotel itself was an absolute shock. It’s so unassuming from the outside but when you enter it’s vast and sumptuous. Hair was done by Electric. (For any London dwelling brides-to-be, I just had a peak at the Electric website and bridal hair is super reasonably priced!)

I can’t narrow it down to one item that I’d like to put on my “wishlist” because there was so much to love!
