Jewel Tones for Fall

Jewel tones for fall? Groundbreaking… Although in all honesty, rich tones suit me better than pastels any day. This lovely dress was gifted to me by Sugarhill. It’s called the “Top Cat” which never fails to make me smile. The amount of times I’ve used the words “top cat” over the past week may or may not surprise you. My favorite thing about this dress is the sheer paneling on the top of the dress and the sleeves. It makes it different than most things I own. I also really like that it just looks like polka dots until you get a bit closer. (Or maybe that’s just my poor eyesight?) For sizing references, this is a UK size 8 and it fits really true to size.

Hey guys, nice to meet you! – Says the palest person on the planet. It’s the beginning of the fall and I’m already this white. By the end of winter I’ll be translucent.

The photos were all taken around the Upper Norwood fishing lake. It continually makes me happy that we live in an area of London where we are surrounded by green spaces. No matter which direction I walk I’ll hit a park, a wildlife space, a common within 15 minutes. It’s a luxury that I try not to take for granted! And it’s also one of the biggest reasons why I sing the praises of being south of the river.

Luckily, I caught one of the rare days lately when it hasn’t been absolutely pouring. The amount of times I’ve been caught out in a storm over the past two weeks is staggering! As much as I dislike it getting colder, I do like the rich tones in clothing that come out in Fall/Winter wardrobes. Every cloud has a silver lining.
