ghd Hairdryers: Do they live up to the hype?

As longtime readers may know, I’m pretty easy going when it comes to makeup, beauty, etc. I really admire complex braids and the perfect cat eye, but I just don’t tend to myself. Why? For one easy reason. I am not blessed with the gift of doing makeup and hair. I must have missed the day when every other woman on the planet learned to do so. If it’s not down, a ponytail, a bun, half up, or a side braid I don’t know how to do it.

The one thing I do always do, however, is blow dry my hair. I have a lot of hair. And it grows pretty darn fast. Though it might not look like it in pictures, it’s really thick too. Once I took a shower in the afternoon and didn’t blow-dry my hair. The next morning my hair was still damp. True story. Unless I’m in 100 F weather, my hair just doesn’t dry on its own.

Ever since coming to England, I’ve been using a travel dryer from Boots. I think it cost a tenner. It’s loud, extremely hot, and I’m pretty sure it burns my hair. So when I was offered the opportunity to review a hairdryer I leapt at it!

First of all the packaging is beautiful. You feel like you’ve received a luxury product. The dryer is super quiet and  you have excellent control over temperature and speed. In fact, I don’t even really need to turn mine on to full speed to dry my hair! The concentrated, less turbulent flow of air makes my hair feel silky and smooth. I love this product and it has easily cut my drying time in half!

I received this hairdryer for free. However, if I didn’t believe in it’s awesomeness, I wouldn’t have actually written this post!
