Happy April 1st everyone! Spring is well and truly under way, isn’t it? (At least in name, if not in weather here in London.)
Let’s call a spade, a spade. I don’t have a very sophisticated fashion sense when it comes to colours. The brighter the colour, the happier I tend to be. And, I have a strong predilection for patterns: florals, stripes, polka dots. I love them. Luckily, it’s more acceptable to let out all my kindergarten level fashion loves in the Spring. What’s not to love about a season that embraces pastels, bows and flowers? In the winter I live in boots, in the summer ballet flats and converse. You may have noticed… I don’t tend to do heels very often. It’d have to be a pretty special occasion for me to subject the rest of the world to my clumsiness!
I tend to wear a lot of dresses because they are easy for me to find a flattering option. Jeans, I struggle with. For the past 7 years I’ve only worn one brand of jeans from Urban Outfitters. I’m that loyal to them. The biggest problem that I have when finding jeans is something I’ve lovingly branded “saggy pocket syndrome”. Simply, when jeans fit me nicely in the waist and things, the butt of the jeans still sags (because I have, let’s face it, a non-existent butt). And I get it, I could do some exercises or something to build it up. But I’d rather just find jeans that don’t sag. So I found a pair and I stuck to them like glue. However, George at Asda sent me some Wonderfit jeans and I am a converted woman. These will be my new go to’s. On my honour. They fit like a dream and have just the right amount of stretch.
And if you are looking for some last minute Easter dresses, George has some lovely and affordable options at the moment. I’ll be wearing the blue floral dress on Easter, myself! (Nicely named, the Bardot dress). And those lovely dotty bottoms? Those are shorts not a skirt! Awesome!
