Summer Duvet Love

Is there anything more satisfying than crawling into crisp, fresh bed linens? I don’t think so! Especially when you can sleep at night with your windows slightly crack and a warm summer breeze drifts in and out. I might be getting ahead of myself a bit….

I’m itching to give our bedroom a proper summer refresher, but since we are renters we can neither paint, nor are we allowed to have holes in the walls. (Although I’ve bent the rules a bit in regards to the later.) One of the cheapest, and most simple ways to give a room a new look is to just change your bed linen.

I’ve complied a list of some fabulous duvets that hit all the right notes for me:

So my tastes in duvets are pretty obvious, right? Clean yet quite feminine. (Sorry, Sam.) All of these duvet covers are from Yorkshire Linen and they are all at even more fabulous price points. After perusing the site, I decided that the Canterbury Red duvet cover from Yorkshire Linen was my favourite. As you can see from the images below, it quickly made it’s way into my life. In my opinion, the more inviting your bed is, the better quality your sleep will be. And quick as a flash, I think my bedroom has a completely different look!

  • The short answer is no – there almost isn’t anything lovelier than fresh, crisp linen – dried outside in the sunshine if possible!!
    So pretty!

  • I haven’t heard of this company but I’m definitely going to have a look. Adam and I agreed one of the things we’d splurge some money on is a decent duvet, and we both are a big fan of crisp fresh white sheets! I would love the pretty floral ones, but I get my way on some other girly things so I guess on this one I can compromise! Alice xx

  • I can never leave my window cracked because I live in terror of intruding insects buzzing by my ears. I actually keep my windows closed, but somehow a (very large) bee managed to find a way in during the night/early morning a few weeks ago. Woe. Horror. Despair. I AM a fan of cute & cozy duvets though! I just got a purdy, flowery one that I loooove πŸ™‚

    • Oh man! Remind me to never tell you any stories about when we lived next to the river in Stratford upon Avon then πŸ˜‰ x

  • I want to look for a new duvet too! It’s been too long.. 5 years since we got married! πŸ˜› It’s time for a new one. I like a very clean look too.

  • I lovelove the bright and pretty duvets. But my husband isn’t as keen. We settled with a nice cabin themed bedspread.

Their duvets are so beautiful! I love the pretty florals

  • Oooh, it’s gorgeous! I would never put a white duvet near my bed though. I’ve seen the state our white sheets get into!

    • We have a white duvet in our duvet location and you’d be surprised! It’s fared better than our white sheets for some strange reason! x

  • It’s weird but while I love patterns for the bedroom I get bored of them really quickly! We have a white duvet and I love it. It feels so clean and sleek and I never get bored of it πŸ™‚

    • I have a white one that I love going back to on rotation! It’s refreshing visually in the morning! x
