ABCs of Summer

With the official start to summer right around the corner, I thought it was definitely time to bring you my ABCs of summer. (You can see last year’s here.)

Attend either Royal Ascot or the Royal Regatta. (I had drafted this post last week, and have officially accomplished this one yesterday. First check!)
Boris Bikes. (Or maybe they are called Santander Bikes, now but they’ll always be Boris Bikes in my heart.)
Camping. I’d love to go camping this summer. To bad I don’t own a tent or sleeping bag. Who wants to let me borrow one?
Drink all the cold-brewed coffee. Yes, you heard me. All of it!
Eat outdoors as often as possible. Picnics and bbqs are one of my greatest pleasures in life.
Farmer’s markets and fresh flowers. Maybe even head over to the PYO Farm again?
Great British Bake Off will start again before you know it, and I can’t be more excited!
Have a totally technology free day with Sam.
Ice cream, homemade. I have a lovely piece of ice cream making kit from Lakeland that I have yet to try out!
July 4th. Do something very American this year to celebrate!
Keep time set aside every week for journaling and poetry.
Long, long walks and hikes through the countryside.
Make it through the summer – it’s the busiest time of year at work for me.
New Girl and the Mindy Project come back on tv for the summer in England and I have been eagerly awaiting this new series! Although it won’t be able to fill the hole in my heart that Game of Thrones left behind!
Out of town celebrations! Like attending birthday parties in Sam’s hometown.
Pimm’s. ‘Tis the season of Pimm’s Cups and it’s a good season!
Quit being a baby and go to the dentist about my wisdom teeth. I think they need to leave my mouth but I am also terrified of it…
Return to Cambridge and finally go punting.
Swimming, anywhere and everywhere! On a beach, in the lido, in the ponds on the Heath.
Travel somewhere new.
Utilise our local library more.
Visit my bff when she is in Europe again this summer.
Wedding planning. Just find and book a darn venue already!
Xylophone band summer concert.
Zip around in the Crystal Palace paddle boats.
