Earlier this week I had the pleasure of attending a pop-up event for Mojoos shoes at Duck & Dry in Chelsea. Mojoos has only been around for about a year and a half and I got the chance to meet the two brilliant women behind the company. Plus my companion for the evening was Katy, who is modelling a pair of stunning coral Mojoos in one of the photos below.
It was lovely to have a catch-up with Katy over some bubbles while the ladies at Duck & Dry gave her a fabulous curly look with lots of body. (Totally a great look for Katy.) And why-oh-why does my hair never look like that when I curl it with my straighteners? In the blink of an eye I received a charming fishtail braid, but unfortunately by the time I got home, most of my hair had escaped its confines. I blame my hair, and the fact that it was freshly washed and not the skill of the girls at Duck & Dry. Some of the other girls got some gorgeous blow-outs and I’m in love with the Grecian plait undo (I’ll be back for that one!)
The idea of Mojoos is fascinating to me; the shoes are flats and they don’t come with an established left shoe and right shoe. You pick which goes on which and over time the shoes mold to fit you. I received a gorgeous red pair of shoes. I wore mine on Thursday, and kept distracting myself during the day looking at the loveliness that was now on my feet. The summer shoe line is leather and silk, while the winter shoe is going to be leather and suede. The thing I loved the most about them was how vibrant the colours are so I’m excited to see how this will develop into a more rich winter shoe.
I also love the packaging of the shoes. The cylindrical container you see below? Yea, that’s the shoe box! Having a pair of shoes where the left and right are indistinguishable right now has also made me realise that my right foot is massively fatter than my left foot!
Mojoos will continue to be at Duck & Dry till the end of the weekend. Currently, they are only selling at pop-up events, but never fear! Plans are in development right now to start selling them online as well!
