Last week I blogged about Day 1 of the Crystal Palace Festival, and here’s my update about Day 2! I mentioned that one of the things that I love about the area is the sheer number of green spaces and the first and second days of the festival were in completely different parks!
Day 2 was also vintage themed and everyone was encouraged to come in costume. Sam and I did the best we could with things we already owned, but maybe next year we’ll have proper costumes! There was some beautiful clothing being sold at various stalls, and I had my eye on quite a few dresses.
The weather alternated between clear skies and absolute downpours at 15 minute intervals. And there were multiple points in time when we had to take shelter underneath some trees. There were several bands including one that did a pretty darn English rendition of “Wagon Wheel” which made me chuckle. Between bands there was a swing dancing class and I was absolutely tickled to see so many people get involved.
At one point in time, Sam and I parted ways to look at different things and when we were reunited, Sam had bought me the fabulous dino balloon featured below. I named him Jared and we actually managed to keep him floating in the living room all week. Long live Jared!
