Laura Ashley AW 15

A few weeks ago, I attended the Laura Ashley Autumn/Winter press preview. And despite the fact that I am having difficulties wrapping my mind around even thinking of winter yet, I loved the preview. To me, Laura Ashley represents some of the cosiest home-goods around.

(As a side note: I’ve just been reading up on Laura Ashley, the woman who founded the company years ago and she lived an extremely inspirational life.)

They’ve really outdone themselves in the bedding area this year, with several duvets and quilts that I wanted to wrap up in at the event and run away with. Laura Ashley always tends to focus on floral patterns, but one of the things they do so successfully is show that florals needn’t be relegated only to spring and summer.

Based on what I’ve seen from a few collections now, burgundy is in again this winter and the burgundy leather jacket pictured here last was my favourite piece of the day.

What do you think? Will you be nipping into a Laura Ashley store this fall?

  • Is it bad that my favourite thing is the vinyl and floral sleeves on the wall!! That jacket is pretty divine though too xx

    • No, it’s totally okay to be obsessed with the wall! I think I snapped 100s of photos just of it! x

  • With the temperatures predicted this week I am yearning for fall and winter!!! I am kinda loving the sweater vest turtle neck!

  • Everything’s just gorgeous, I want it all! In particular that owl jar and leather jacket are calling my name. Also I love the way they styled it all with giant balls of wool and giant fabric buttons – genius! Roll on autumn I say.

    • When I go into Laura Ashleys home stores, it’s hard to see pieces that I wouldn’t want! x

  • Such beautiful hues coming to our wardrobes this Autumn/Winter!

  • Such pretty stuff, I liked looking at the photos, while listening to my daughter cry and feeling useless as I can’t change things for her

  • How pretty!! I love the look of the cake tins I spied, and that leather jacket is gorgeous! xxx

  • I can see you in all of these outfits! Unfortunately, florals make me look like a punk weasel. But you’d look like a total lady in them x

  • Laura Ashley is SO timeless!

  • I definitely do as well, so it was a good reminder to myself! x

  • I love burgundy so that’s good news, I’m never trendy! lol. I think you should totally invest in that jacket though!

  • I never think to go into Laura Ashley but the stuff in your photos is really very hip and to my taste. I love the outfit in the last photo (though I have pretty big hips and always worry about whether I can pull off those kinds of trousers). And you are right, that bedding is to die for!

    • I just never really think about clothes in Laura Ashley. In my mind, I’ve relegated it to just soft furnishings and things so it was pretty cool to see how wrong I was! x

  • I can totally see you in that burgundy jacket!

    • Thanks Betsy! Although, I reached an impasse with it – I sent a photo of it to my mom and she also really likes it – for herself. My mom has some pretty awesome clothes, but I’ve not reached a level of acceptance in owning some identical items. Or even sharing.

  • Wow I definitely wish I could fill my house with these tins and pots and plants, sooo pretty!
