I had the absolute pleasure of working on developing a recipe tutorial for Wayfair.com. Yesterday my recipe for Butternut Squash Cake with Marshmallow frosting went live. You can read it here. It’s always been my dream to make cakes for a living, so writing recipes for websites and still getting to eat them myself is pretty close to perfection!
In all honesty, I think it’s the tastiest cake that I’ve ever made. And Sam agreed with me! It stays so tantalisingly moist, even days after first slicing in. Plus, it’s absolutely perfect for the fall. And I find roasting my own butternut squash to make the puree weirdly satisfying. As much as I love baking with pumpkin, butternut squash is probably a richer, more interesting flavour. (Shh…don’t tell pumpkin cookies that, I still love them.)
