London || BBC Good Food Fayre at Hampton Court Palace

I attended the BBC Good Food Festive Fayre at Hampton Court Palace. I’ve now been to Hampton Court Palace half a dozen times, but it never fails to blow me away with it’s beauty and I’m always finding something new to take a photo of. I’ve now seen it during every season and it’s wonderful to see how the garden changes with the seasons.

BBC chefs were doing demonstrations in the Winter Kitchen, there were festive choirs singing around the Clock Court, there were book signings and most importantly, there was stall upon stall of delicious food. Whilst I was there, pork sandwiches at Woodhouse Farm Hog Roast’s stall seemed to generate the largest crowds.

My favourite treats that I sampled were: a fantastic pork and apple sausage from Heck; pretty much every single cheese sold by the Snowdonia Cheese Company; brownies from All About The Bakes; and coffee from Raw Bean Coffee.

The palace itself look lovely all decked out in it’s festive glory. My imagination was running wild- I think in part because of all the “Reign” that I binge watched that same week.

I haven’t been to either, but food is always a magnet πŸ˜€

  • I love Hampton Court, and since I moved in September it’s only about half an hour’s walk from me! Didn’t know this was on, or I’d have been tempted to grab tickets. Looks like you had a good time! And the Snowdonia Cheese Company is amazing, love their stuff!

(FYI, if you’re back in the area again the pub opposite the palace that you took a picture of, The Mute Swan, does really good food!)

  • I believe that they do another food event there in the spring/summer! X

  • Hampton Court is just down the road from us since we moved from South London and I’ve been meaning to visit for ages! All their foodie events look fab – so much cheese!

    • It’s fabulous! Hampton Court is definitely worth a look-in even if there isn’t a special event on. xx

  • I’m glad you went! I wish I had been able to but last minute life hassles sucked me in. A food festival and a castle is a pretty special combination though πŸ˜€
