I attended the BBC Good Food Festive Fayre at Hampton Court Palace. I’ve now been to Hampton Court Palace half a dozen times, but it never fails to blow me away with it’s beauty and I’m always finding something new to take a photo of. I’ve now seen it during every season and it’s wonderful to see how the garden changes with the seasons.
BBC chefs were doing demonstrations in the Winter Kitchen, there were festive choirs singing around the Clock Court, there were book signings and most importantly, there was stall upon stall of delicious food. Whilst I was there, pork sandwiches at Woodhouse Farm Hog Roast’s stall seemed to generate the largest crowds.
My favourite treats that I sampled were: a fantastic pork and apple sausage from Heck; pretty much every single cheese sold by the Snowdonia Cheese Company; brownies from All About The Bakes; and coffee from Raw Bean Coffee.
The palace itself look lovely all decked out in it’s festive glory. My imagination was running wild- I think in part because of all the “Reign” that I binge watched that same week.
I received press tickets to the event. You can guarantee that I’ll be back next year!
Have you ever attended a BBC Good Food Festival? Or been to Hampton Court Palace?
