There are few things that I enjoy wearing more than tulle. For some reason, it just gives me loads of confidence. It makes me feel 1 part dainty, 1 part beautiful and 2 parts awesome. And when I pair it with my trusty winter boots, it helps tone down the girlishness and I dodge the worry that I look like I’m trying too hard to embrace my inner princess. Though I do feel a tad like the tooth fairy.
With a thick scarf and coat, this outfit embraces the fact that my winter clothing doesn’t have to be boring – historically I prefer my spring outfits. But with this mild but wet winter in England so far, I’ve managed to stay quite warm.
Sometime this Spring I’ll be going back to brunette in preparation for the wedding (probably sooner rather than later as my roots are out of control), but I’ll miss the red. It’s definitely a shade that I’d consider going back to in the future, if I don’t try out blue first!
