10 Happy Things Lifestyle

Life Lately || 10 Things That Made Me Happy Recently

Happy Friday everyone! I missed my update last week so this week’s is a bit more densely packed than usual. The clocks move forward in the UK this weekend, and I hate losing that extra hour of sleep, but I love gaining that extra hour of light in the evening.

>>>Easter holiday weekend. A long bank holiday weekend in England is wonderful. Long live the 4 day weekend!

>>> Sam and I saw “The Witch” last weekend. It was wonderful and beautifully filmed. A truly new type of horror film- maybe more psychological thriller? One thing’s clear – I am so grateful that I’m not a pilgrim.

>>> I played Monopoly for the first time in years. I won.

>>> I may have organised my Sunday last weekend to make sure that I could watch “Best in Show” at Crufts. And I may or may not have cried because I thought the dogs were so beautiful…. Eric was robbed though.

>>> I went to ABQ London (the Breaking Bad pop up) with Emma. It was wonderfully wacky.

>>> I received some fabulous Easter goodies from Hotel Chocolat. I sampled the Easter Goody Bag with a salted caramel slab, raspberry egglets, scrambled pralines, caramel bunnies and 3 milk chocolate bunnies. The scrambled praline chocolates were my favourites, by the raspberry egglets were a very close second.

If you really want to treat someone with a great quality Easter egg this weekend, I HIGHLY recommend that you pop into your local Hotel Chocolat store.  Personally, I have my eye on the extra thick Rocky Road egg, if anyone is asking.

>>> I went to Windsor Castle with work on Saturday and whilst it was freezing, it was a lovely day.

>>>It is officially spring. Hip, hip hooray!

>>> I had a Waitrose gift card that needed spending and instead of taking the train or the bus to the store, I ran the 3 miles to the nearest Waitrose. It seemed like a huge accomplishment. Small steps, right?

>>> And some very exciting news: Sam and I are booked in to go to Edinburgh next weekend! I can’t wait! If you have any recommendations please pop them in the comments below!

Do you have special plans for the weekend? What are they? I am so happy to start eating sweeties again after Sunday!
