10 Happy Things Lifestyle

Life Lately || 10 Things That Made Me Happy This Week

Happy Friday everyone! We’ve finally had some spring-like weather which has been an absolute delight. (I hope I haven’t just jinxed it.)

10 things that made me happy this week

>>> Sam and I saw “10 Cloverfield Lane” over the weekend. I thought the acting was top-notch. I enjoyed it much more than the original Cloverfield. I’d definitely recommend it, even though I didn’t love the ending.

>>> Ever since I dyed my hair back to brown after my brief stint with red over the winter, I haven’t been quite satisfied with the colour result. After two more boxes of dye and countless minutes spent waiting around, I managed to get it to a shade that I liked. Big Thursday evening, right?

>>> We have a Monopoly set of our own now. 2 games have been played already since it’s been purchased. One win for me, one epic loss. (Truly epic. Sam ended up with all the property and all my money by the end  – a real sweep!)

>>> On Wednesday evening, I hosted an #lbloggers chat. It was my first solo twitter chat. I’d split the duties with the lovely Emma in the past, but never on my lonesome. I was a bit nervous about how my questions were going to go down and worried about if I was going to be able to keep everyone engaged, but in the end, I was so pleased and would love the opportunity to host again in the future.

>>> I managed to find a replacement hair stylist for the wedding. After the original vendor canceled a few weeks back, everyone else I spoke to said that they were booked up already. I reached out to 30 + people and finally I was able to find someone fabulous who could fit me in. And most importantly, I’m way more excited about her work than the original hair dresser. Things work out for a reason, right?

>>> I had an amazing time with some fabulous bloggers at a Nuffnang night out at clueQuest on Tuesday. I’ll write more about it later but I could do one of these rooms every week and be a super happy camper.

>>> I streamed the Sanders rally in New York on Wednesday night  (the one that was attended by around 27,000), and Bernie speaks to my heart.

>>> On Wednesday I was able to eat lunch outside in Bloomsbury Square without a jacket. I could feel my vampiric skin prickle from the direct rays. It was wonderful.

>>> We have a new coffee shop on our street that serves Union coffee and it’s absolutely amazing. Even though we live far out of Central London in the wilds of the South East, we are spoiled for choice when it comes to awesome places to have coffee.

>>> Sam took photos of one the actors who is a member of the Night’s Watch on ‘Game of Thrones’. I was begging him to ask about Jon Snow but he refused.

I’m going to Brighton for work on Saturday and then hopefully spending Sunday relaxing. Do you have any big plans this weekend?
