Happy end of the first 4 day week of May! We still have another 4 day week to look forward to which is absolutely glorious. It’s also my birthday month, and the weather is getting nicer day by day. Everything’s looking up!
>>> I had SO many baby snuggles this past weekend. Between nephews and friends new baby infants, I was absolutely spoiled.
>>> That extra day off work. Need I say more?
>>> Kimmy Schmidt Season 2.
>>>Freakshakes. Where have they been my whole life. Absolutely amazing. I couldn’t have another one again soon but it was so worth it.
>>> The owner of the company that I work for was here in London this week, and I always love team meetings that involve being bought lunch!
>>> Walking from north of Regent’s Park all the way to Stratford along the canals. It was nearly 10 miles long and it was a wonderful walk. It wasn’t hot, but I managed to wear a t-shirt the majority of the time!
>>> A delicious dinner with friends on Wednesday evening to celebrate a birthday.
>>> The wonderful, wonderful weather this week. Yes, there’ve been some spots of rain, but the warmth? Awesome!
>>> We had a farewell lunch for one of Sam’s best friends at the weekend – he’s going to live and work in Australia. We were hosted by a lovely family who have an amazing set-up: beautiful four-bed house, garden and two beautiful children. Jealous!
>>> Election Day! I can’t vote in the London Mayoral Election, but the polling station is just across the road and I can see it from my desk where I work. It’s exciting to see everyone file in with their ballot papers. Go, democracy!
We are up in Yorkshire this weekend meeting with all our wedding vendors; photographer, florist, etc. It’s out last trip up North before the wedding and we have some very early starts and a lot of work, but the most exciting kind!
What are your plans for the weekend?
