ABCs of Summer

It’s that time again – a new season is upon is which means that it’s also time for a new ABCs of Summer!

Attend Royal Ascot. After the phenomenal time that I had last year, I can’t wait to go back.

Barbecuing at every possible occasion. We’ve had one bbq so far, and hopefully there are a fair share more to come!

Camping! I’d love to squeeze in some sleeping under a starry sky this summer. Okay, maybe I’m more keen on glamping, but still!

Designate some quality time with Sam. Between wedding admin, tons of work and lots of visitors, we have very little one-on-one time before the big day, so hopefully we cherish it.

Evening light. The sun setting after 9pm is one of my favourite things about summer. I’d kill for this much sunlight all year round!

Family and friends from all over the world will be winging their way to me soon and I can’t wait to see everyone here in England.

Garson’s Farm. I try to visit most seasons. There are few things better than fresh picked berries in the summer!

Haircuts. I’ve wanted to cut my hair shorter for about a year now. (Again – about 5 years ago I had it in an ear length bob.) But I haven’t wanted to cut it before the wedding. Come beginning of August I’ll be relishing a very stereotypical post-wedding chop.

Icecream. I have an icecream maker and I definitely need to get more use out of it!

July 4th. Celebrate this American holiday in England with a bbq perhaps?

Keep trying to fall in love with running.

Long walks in the evening.

Make s’mores this summer. Sam’s only had them once!

No! (Saying it more often this summer and setting aside time for myself – and trying to not overextend myself.)

Outdoor swimming. I only got the chance to visit the Lido once last summer and I’m hoping to have more opportunities to this year.

Pimm’s! I didn’t have a single Pimms last summer. That is a true tragedy!

Quit being self-conscious about how pale I am at the moment and just embrace it.

Return of Great British Bake Off. If there’s one reason to look forward to the end of the summer, it’s that!

Survive work. Summer is the busiest and most stressful time of year with my job.

Try to vlog more this summer.

Update some of my social media “About Me’s”

Visits from my bestie (who is also my lady of honour). I’ll see her not only during the wedding but she’ll be traveling through England a month prior, so I’ll have two chances to spend time with her!

Wedding. I may have mentioned one (or a million times!) but we’re getting married this summer!

Xylophone band practice. This will be how our first dance is played.

Yoga. Sam and I have done yoga together before and we need to get back in the habit again and maybe Sam will finally learn to touch his toes.

Zach (my little brother((but not actually little anymore)) brother) will have his first trip to Europe to visit me this summer!
