Everyday Jewellery

I’m not one for very many accessories. I’m especially guilty of that simplicity when it comes to jewellery. I pretty much wear the same things every single day regardless of outfit and never really change it up. In fact, I never even buy myself jewellery for that reason, and have found that I’ve donated most of my costume jewellery to charity because I get very little use of it.

But the pieces I do wear, I wear to death. My every day jewellery looks like this: diamond stud earrings, engagement ring, watch and bracelet. Once in a blue moon I add a necklace to a dress, but when I do so, I usually choose one of two common necklaces.

My diamond stud earrings were a gift from my mom on my 15th birthday and I’ve worn them every day since. In fact, I never take them out. I have two piercings in each ear, but I very rarely wear two sets of earrings anymore. I used to all the time, and wore a combination of pearls and my studs but most days I just stick with one set of earrings.

Since our engagement in February 2015, I’ve worn my engagement ring every day. I’ve written about it quite extensively in my previous post about my engagement ring, but it’s a family heirloom that I’m very emotionally attached to. I absolutely adore my wedding band, so I can’t wait to add it to my list of every day jewellery in a few short weeks.

I always wear a watch and/or a bracelet. If I’m wearing them both, I always wear them on the same arm; though I was never one to jump on the arm party bandwagon. These days it’s always my Daniel Wellington watch and my Buckley London Chelsea Organic bracelet. (Buckley London has great customer service by the way.)

I keep telling myself that I need to be a more adventurous accessoriser, but it never happens!
