Hey there English summer? Please don’t be gone already! The cloudy overcast days and the constant showers this week have been a massive bummer. I was probably one of the only people around not bemoaning the heatwave last week. Bring back those 30+ days, I say!
I managed to snap these outfit photos on a day where occasionally the clouds would part and allow for a tiny bit of sunshine. I was having a wander through Sydenham Hill Woods, which is my local go-to happy place for when I want to feel like I’m not in London, when I’m throughly in London. (Seriously though, it’s my go-to place. On Brexit result morning, Sam and I just went and sat there for awhile. I cried. No shame.)
Also, this might be the last outfit post to feature my hair this long. I’ve spoken before about itching to give it a chop as it’s starting to resemble an unruly mop . Plus it’s been too long since I’ve done something different with my hair. (My pre-Christmas scarlet hair). One of my favourite pre-wedding things to fantasise about was to play with my hair style without worrying if I was going to ruin it for photos on the wedding day. I’ve been a lady of many hair colours and lengths; it’s been down to my waist, it’s been shorter than chin-length, it’s been bleach blonde, it’s been copper, it’s been scarlet. The one consistent thing I’ve had are my bangs (i.e. fringe) and you can never take that away from me.

If you look closely, you might notice that in one ear I have an earring in my top hole, and in the other ear it’s in the bottom hole. I am forever putting them in in a hurry and not putting them in aligned holes. Maybe I can make that a trend?
