Happy Autumn everyone! While I always finding writing these lists a bit of a challenge, they are one of my favourite things to draft with the changing of the seasons. So here’s to the 3rd annual ABCs of Autumn!
Apple harvesting; fall pick-your-own farms are the best!
Be a part of a book club. I’m a member of some online book clubs, but I’d like to join a non-virtual one.
Carving pumpkins.
Dark nail polish being seasonally appropriate. There’s nothing I love more on my nails than a deep dark blue or red.
Embracing hygge.
Find a new job.
Going on long country walks, admiring the changing leaves, with a thermos of hot chocolate or coffee in tow.
Halloween celebrations.
Instagram challenges. Not strictly a fall activity, but I hope to grow my account over the next few months.
Join in new classes. Hopefully, some pure barre or reformer pilates.
Keep advancing on Memrise to learn a new language.
Live in boots, scarves and comfy jumpers. (I do love my boots.)
Mornings wrapped up warm in a duvet with coffee and a good book.
Nature’s beauty. There’s nothing more stunning than the changing of leaves and all the beautiful autumnal colours.
Organise a new flat and buy furniture as appropriate.
Pumpkin cookies, pie, coffee and bread. Bring on all things pumpkin! #basic
Quiet early misty mornings. (Aka try to become more of a morning person and go to bed earlier.)
Run at least 3x a week.
Sausage dogs. I want one. Badly. It is my breed of choice.
Thanksgiving dinner. This will be my 7th in England!
Unpacking and getting settled in somewhere new. A new chapter and adventure for Sam and I begins this autumn!
Vacations to new places. Hopefully we’ll go on honeymoon at the end of the Autumn.
Watching scary films.
Xylophone band practice in a new city.
Yoga challenges. Try to do more at home every day.
Zzzzs. As soon as we get settled into a new place, our year of craziness (wedding, moving, etc) will be over and we can relax a bit more than we have one for most of 2016.
