Style || How to Wear Ankle Boots Two Ways

Once autumn rolls around, I mostly set aside my trusty summer ballet flats and live in boots for the rest of the year. Flat boots, ankle books, riding boots. I have them all (usually in brown) and I love them. Boots are genuinely one of my favourite things about fall, no matter how shallow and sad that might seem.

I received these gorgeous House of Fraser ankle boots and knew that there were so many different ways to style them that they were going to become staples in my cold-weather wardrobe this year.

My biggest tip when it comes to wearing ankle boots with jeans is to cuff your jeans right above the top of the boot. Don’t wear your skinny jeans tucked into the boot like you would with a riding boot, nor should you cuff them too high. When wearing them with thick winter socks, let a bit of the sock show in between the cuff of the boot and the top of the jean leg.

With dresses, things are a lot more straight-forward. Just throw on a pair of black tights and they look seasonally appropriate with most dresses!
