10 Happy Things Lifestyle

Life Lately || 10 Things That Made Me Happy This Week

Happy Friday everyone! The weather has really taken a turn for the chilly recently hasn’t it? For awhile, I had convinced myself that I’d just “adapted” to England and have become better at handling the cold without huge jackets and scarves, but it just turns out that it hasn’t been properly cold until now.

>>> Sam and I went to the cinema and saw “Miss Peregrine’s Home for Pellicular Children” on Saturday. I have to admit, I think Burton may have lost his touch. The storyline totally veered off from the books halfway through the movie, and that’s when it started getting really weak – in my opinion. Just read the books instead.

>>> I’m nearly done re-watching Season 5 of the Gilmore Girls. Two more seasons to go by the end of November!

>>> Did anyone else watch “Victorian Slum” on Monday night? I really got sucked in and quite enjoyed it, embarrassingly!

>>> It’s well documented that Taye Diggs follows absolutely everyone on twitter, but I just found his following of me extra hilarious because it came in the middle of a huge amount of Gilmore Girls chat. I’d like to think that he is also a HUGE Gilmore Girls fan so has a bot set up to track and follow people who use  #teamjess.

>> In our local book donation drop off spot, I picked up an ancient travel guidebook about Thailand. Thailand is top of our honeymoon list so it’s fun to look at different areas, no matter how out of date the book may be.

>>> I am neurotic about packing and I really, really enjoy it. I also meticulously label and organise every box, and I’ve actually been excited about the prospect of getting it under way. I may have boxed up two lots of books already…

>>> Dinner with Emma at Wagamama on Tuesday night, testing out the new Autumn specials was just fab. The bao buns rule!

>>>  On Wednesday, I traveled out to Somerset and spent time with some of my old flatmates, one of whom has been really unwell but is an absolute hero. It was wonderful to have the opportunity to catch up.

>>> On either side of the Somerset trip, one of the girls stayed with me and it was lovely to have that extra time together. I particularly enjoyed our PSL and Bake Off watching times.

>>> And last but not least – the landlord look our offer, referencing is done and we officially have a place to move to in York!
