Move over obsession with Parisian chic, Scandi is the “it” trend of the moment, and it turns out that I’ve been a hygge enthusiast my whole life.

The Scandi Kitchen cookbook focuses on slow-cooking and baking. Think gorgeous cinnamon rolls and buns. And the Joules home range always has some lovely gifts for everyone. Plum & Ashby was an online store that I discovered this summer, and I really struggle to find something that I wouldn’t want from their site.
I current already own the White Company “Winter Fruits” candle collection and they are wonderful. All the scents are subtle, so your home won’t scream “Christmas” but they are very comforting. My absolute favourite of the three scents is Pomegranate, though the Cassis and Orange Grove are both lovely as well.
I tend to shy away from chocolate selection boxes because you usually open them with great excitement and then discover that you only want to eat 1/3 of the flavours in the box. This is where Hotel Chocolat is the best – I never want to discard any of them. They are all truly delicious! I tried the “Merry Little Christmas” hamper and it was amazing. All the milk chocolate and chocolate clementines were great, but it was the Rocky Road slab that really took my fancy!
For Christmas two years ago, Sam purchased me a set of Cath Kidston flannel pyjamas and they are one of my favourite gifts ever. I call them “the clouds” because they are so soft and comfortable. I’m prone to getting really cold and these are definitely my best pjs! And fluffy slippers are just a winter must!
What would be on your hygge list?
