As soon as Halloween is over, I give myself permission to get full-scale excited about the holidays. Barring my birthday (obviously) the holidays are my favourite time of year.

I still love occasions to dress up. When I think back on big nights out or important occasions, the getting ready portion of the evening is one of the parts that sticks out the most in my memory. Having your iPod on loud whilst having your more talented friends help you with your hair and make outweighs the night itself at times. And oddly, Sam had a similar experience. During university, he lived in a house of about 5 girls and he concurs that the getting ready atmosphere can be super exciting. That’s why whenever we have a chance, we both make a fun event out of getting ready.
In the past year or so, I’ve really parred down my wardrobe to the essentials in order to live more minimally and to try to develop a more personal daily uniform; however, I’ve noticed that I have a huge gap when it comes to party attire.
Both outfits, earrings and cocktail ring are in stores at Coast at the moment. (And they have some killer skirts right now, in my opinion.)
