Travel || Khao Lak Laguna Hotel

I only have the BEST things to say about Khao Lak Laguna. They couldn’t have taken better care of us and it was phenomenal value for money. The hotel had 3 pools, a hot tub, spa, two restaurants and its beachfront. It also offered two different types of accommodation: more “classic” hotel rooms and individual chalet huts. We opted for the room, because it was the significantly cheaper option and we’d rather put that money towards adventures in Thailand. But that’s not to knock the rooms!

Our room was significantly bigger than our old flat in London, the bed was larger than King size (is that even possible?), we had our own balcony, and we had both an incredible bathtub and separate rain shower. I was in shower heaven. I’ve never showered so much in my entire life. #truestory

The hotel knew that it was our honeymoon so the room was strewn with flower petals and they had left out a complimentary bottle of champagne for our arrival. By the time we stepped foot in our room we had been up for about 40 hours and were desperately trying to stay awake until nightfall to get our clocks reset, so I may have cried tears of joy when I saw our room. Also, the champagne made me fall asleep so I might have ruined the romantic mood.

We only had dinner at the hotel once, on the first day that we landed when I was so jet lagged that I could barely move; however we did have breakfast there most days. Breakfast was always lovely with tons of European and Thai options.

The staff at Khao Lak Laguna were so helpful and friendly that we couldn’t have asked for more from our honeymoon stay!

Are there any hotels that you would go back to in a heartbeat?

And thus ends all my Thailand posts. Take me back, right now!
