Happy Monday everyone! I hope everyone has had an absolutely lovely weekend. I can’t believe that we are approaching the tail-end of August. It seems like the summer just started but we are about to see the beginning of autumn (noooo!!!!!)
>>> Harold‘s arrival obviously has to be on the top of this list! I introduced the new puppy properly last week, but he’s so cute and he knows it. Our lives have revolved around this little creature for the past few weeks and it’s astonishing how something so small can have such a big impact on your life.
>>> I’ve been super excited to start undertaking all my doula training. If you follow me on Goodreads, I’m sorry for the wash of all the pregnancy physiology spam.
>>> I love milk in coffee, but I’ve been really struggling with lactose for the past few years. And I don’t really like almond milk in coffee. I’ve discovered oat milk and it’s the best thing in coffee ever! So creamy and lightly nutty!
>>> Sam’s dad was here in York for the last few weeks and it was lovely to get to spend so much time with him.
>>> I wrote a few weeks ago about falling in love with our Riverford veg box. Lately we’ve been getting the 100% UK seasonal veg box and it’s money very well spent!
>>> Sam, his dad and I all ventured out to Bempton Cliffs to go to the Seabird Centre together. It was absolutely stunning, and I have a post on it planned soon.
>>> I’ve had the opportunity lately to return to brunch at two of my favourite places in York: the Pig & Pastry and the Perky Peacock. (You can see all of my top York brunch picks here.)
>>> Who doesn’t love the fact that Game of Thrones is back on our TVs? Although I am absolutely bemoaning the fact that this year’s season is so short!
>>> It’s super woo-woo but I’ve been really getting into crystals. My research first started when my aunt gave me a Himalayan rock salt lamp for my birthday. Then I moved into wearing rose quartz and lately, sea agate.
>>> Sam was away all weekend shooting a wedding and he’ll be gone this upcoming weekend as well. His headshots and his theatre photos are gorgeous, but I’m a huge fan of his un-posed and natural wedding photos. But I’m biased, of course. Take a peek for yourself and if you have an upcoming wedding or engagement, keep him in mind. (He also does LinkedIn headshots and blogging photos.)
What has made you happy lately? What did you get up to this weekend?
