Caffeine addicts unite! This was my first year attending the London Coffee Festival and I loved it. It was at the Old Truman Brewery (a venue I love) and had 100s of artisan coffee and food stalls. Basically, what’s not to love? I also met up with the fabulous Jaclyn and Angela, so that made the whole experience more pleasurable as well!
There’s also a huge selection of tea, chocolate and juice booths as well, if you are that way inclined! In fact, one of the most interesting and totally different thing that I tried was a cold-brewed hot chocolate (the name itself is riddle-like). It was definitely refreshing and I can see the appeal of it on a hot day, but my mind felt like tricks were being played on it; my taste buds didn’t truly know what to think. It was all the flavours of a hot chocolate but cold and much, much cleaner. (I went home with a bag of Kokoa dark chocolate mix that I can’t wait to use!)
Of course, I did leave the event incredibly over-caffeinated, but completely nerding out over all the different methods there are for coffee brewing. I’m a massive fan of cold-brewed coffee, so bring on the summer!
