Travel || A Vegan Guide to Prague

When I travel, I stay vegetarian, but not strictly vegan if not eating dairy would result in not getting to experience part of the culture (or if I can’t decipher a menu at all). But I do try my hardest to do a lot of vegan research ahead of time so that I can stay vegan where possible.
Luckily Prague had a plethora of absolutely delicious vegan places!

A Vegan Guide to Prague

Bakeshop

You’ll see several of these stores dotted around Prague but the main one is in the Jewish quarter. They aren’t a vegan bakery, but they are one of the best bakeries in Prague and they do have soy-milk and some accidentally vegan breads and salads on offer.

The main Bakeshop location is Kozí 1, 110 00 Staré Město

Country Life

Country Life is like a vegan, vegetarian restaurant and shop. It’s self-service (like the buffet at Whole Foods) and there are a variety of hot and cold items, salad bar, pastries, fruits and juices.

It is located at Melantrichova 15, 110 00 Praha 1

Pizza Letna

Pizza Letna isn’t strictly a vegan pizza chain but they offer both vegan and gluten-free pizza options. So if you’re craving pizza whilst in Prague this is the place to go. You can eat in or get it to take away.

It is locate at Haškova 3 (at Praha 7), Prague, Czech Republic, 170 00

Loving Hut

Loving Hut is a vegan chain of deliciousness. The best part about eating there is that you can find lots of traditional Czech foods veganised so you don’t have to feel like you’re missing out on eating traditional food whilst traveling.

It is located at Na Poříčí 25, 110 00, Praha 1

Mama Coffee

Mama Coffee was some of the best coffee I’ve ever had. In fact, it was so good that I went back to it again. The soya hot chocolate is also excellent. I didn’t have any food there, but they have loads of vegan friendly options, like: sun-dried tomato and sesame paste on toast, pita bread and hummus, veggie burgers, and Ukrainian dumplings.

It’s located at Vodičkova 674/6, 110 00 Nové Město.

MyRaw Cafe

It does what it says it does. Most of the food served is raw vegan food with no sugar, gluten or lactose. Instead you’ll find yourself feasting on nuts and vegetables.

MyRaw Cafe is located at Dlouhá 39, 110 00 Staré Město

One Sip Coffee

Another great coffee shop because you should never be short on coffee options. The coffee is super delicious, the interiors are stylish and you can opt for non-dairy milks.

One Sip Coffee is located at Haštalská 755 15, 110 00 Praha 1

Creme de la Creme

This gelato place in the heart of the Old Town, offers 5 or 6 different vegan options. The queue snaked around the corner whilst I was there (during a heatwave) but I still think you should prepare to wait. It’s worth it though!

It is located at Husova 231/12, 110 00 Staré Město

Moment

Moment is a 100% vegan restaurant that was high on my radar after my research coupled with Emma’s recommendation. They serve both savoury dishes and sweets, so it’s a great place to go anytime of day! I didn’t nip in for breakfast, but I wish I had as I was intrigued by the waffles and chickpea flour omelettes.

You can find Moment at Slezská 62, 120 00 Praha 2

Other vegan options that I researched in Prague but didn’t try:

  • Incruienti Restaurant
  • Pastva
  • Maitrea
  • Puro Bistro
  • Plevel
  • Coffee Room
  • Donut Shop
    Estrella

Do you have any vegan/vegetarian restaurants that need to be on my list for if I return to Prague soon?
