There are genuinely few things that I love more than a good rucksack. Gone are the days that I lust over a high-end bag. (Though a vintage Chanel will forever be on my list.) I turned against shoulder bags at one point in drama school when a movement tutor went around the room and pointed out what shoulder everyone must have usually carried their bags on. It really illuminated the importance of wearing a two-strapped rucksack for back health then and there for me.

My current bag situation is this: one clutch, a waterproof rucksack, a brown tote and a more colourful tote. And I’m perfectly happy with that.

But I’ve now added a gorgeous Gaston Luga backpack to my collection. It’s definitely a step-up from my current waterproof rucksack that I use out and about and traveling.

Gaston Luga is a Swedish brand that focuses on combining stylishness with functionality and they definitely hit the mark. I opted for their classic PRÅPER bag in olive and black. It’s smart enough that I can still bring it to work meetings with all the functionality that you’d want in a backpack. Plus, it’s great for the days that I cycle.

I love the Scandinavian minimalist feel that their products have, coupled with the fact that they offer vegan products and their focus on fair trade and good quality factory working conditions. All the leather looking elements on their bags are actually a durable and easy to clean, synthetic alternative to leather.

Gaston Luga is also holding a summer promotion at the moment where everyone gets a free passport holder (normal RRP £55) with every purchase. I’ve already popped my new British passport into its holder.

And Gaston Luga is offering all Rhyme & Ribbons readers a discount. Just pop in code ‘rhymeandribbons‘ on check out for 15% off all items.

There is also free delivery and returns!
