I hope everyone had a very happy Mother’s Day! Except for going to church and lunch with my mom on Sunday this weekend was completely and totally uneventful.
It was a great excuse to wear my new J Crew dress that my mom bought me a few weeks ago as an early birthday present. (By the way, birthday? T-minus 15 days, 15 hours and 19 minutes! I have a countdown app)
I waited to post this Monday update until I came back just in case something went wrong….but I had my biometrics taken and I’ve officially posted everything to the Visa Expeditor’s office. They should get my documents tomorrow morning, spend a day or so going through them and then send them off to the UKBA. Hurray! Something finally happened!
I have 2 concerns from today:
Concern A: That my passport or any of our other documents fall out of the FedEx envelope before they get to the Visa Agent.
Concern B: One of my fingerprints kept failing because the computer couldn’t get a good scan of it. The Biometrics woman (who was very sweet, granted) was like, “oh well, it’s okay, we can send them off anyways.” (Even though you can’t read one finger? What? How is that okay?!)
(Look at all those documents. 5 lbs of documents!!!!
That’s ridiculous!)
Hopefully it will be smoother sailing from here on out! Fingers and toes crossed. Knock on wood. (You get the picture.)
