Restaurant Review || Bubbledogs

Here’s another instalment in my London restaurants that I love series. Okay, it’s not a real series but it should be. (I did write about Choccywoccydoodah not too long ago.) But let’s say you are in London and you are really craving a gourmet hotdog and a glass of really reasonably priced champagne. Where do you go? Bubbledogs, of course!

In Fitzrovia there is an amazing champagne bar that basically only serves hotdogs. My kind of place. When it first opened, it made a huge splash and wait times were hours long. Now I think it’s fair to say that at dinner you can still expect to be waiting about 45 minutes.

The art inside is hilariously amazing. I really wanted the Dracula hotdog print for myself.

Just keep pouring waiter, just keep pouring.

My alcohol of choice will always be bubbles. Prosecco, champagne, sparkling wine- I love them all! Sam and I both ordered a glass of champagne, a hotdog each, and two different sides to share. This time we ordered the sweet potato fries and the tater tots. I  think it’s fair to say that the sweet potato fries were the stars of the show.

It’s a tiny space so prepare to make friends with the people around you. As you can see from the photo above we were seated on a long counter.

The Reuben

Sam ordered the The Reuben (sauerkraut, Russian dressing and melted Swiss cheese), while I predictably went for the Jose (salsa, avocado, sour cream and pickled jalapenos).

Sam enjoying his meal. And that lovely bracelet? Made by his niece as a gift to him and he actually wore it for ages! What a good uncle.

What would be on your perfect hotdog?
