September Sponsor Round Up

It’s that time of the month again: for me to introduce my fabulous sponsors. I hope you give these ladies a hearty welcome!

Katy and I have formed one of those beautiful friendships: from blog friends to real life friends. Seeing her always cheers me up and she’s full of laughter and sweetness. Plus we have a bazillion things in common to talk about; we both studied theatre, both our partners are from Yorkshire, and we have a shared interest in stuffing our faces. Enter Katy’s recent post on the Mac Attack Burger Challenge at Dirty Bones. The photos left me in awe of how much food was eaten, but also jealous that I wasn’t there to partake in it. I also loved her recent postcards from North Yorkshire post, mostly because I’ve been bugging Sam to take me to The Forbidden Corner for years now.  But if you are new to Katy’s blog, a great place to start would be her recent 10 Things You Might Not Know About Me post. Spoiler alert: Katy once played a piece of seaweed on stage.

Ashley is a relatively recent reading discovery of mine. I love her sense of style and fun, plus it doesn’t hurt that she lives in Nashville, one of my favourite places in the US. Ashley is as fascinated about food around the world as I am, so I highly recommend reading more about her #gobblingtheglobe hashtag project. And as someone with serious dog-fever, it was interesting to read about doggie DNA testing, which helps identify health problems for dogs when you don’t know their breed. And as a fruit lover, I couldn’t help but be envious of her blueberry picking experience in Michigan.

Christina is the woman to go to if you want to learn about being a photographer and how to pick up some professional skills. (An example of this would be her post series on how to be a portrait photographer.)  I absolutely love Christina’s state of the blog posts and in particular her post on breaking blogging “rules”. But Route Bliss isn’t all helpful blogging posts and photography talk: you can find gorgeous photos of Christina’s travels (because I love classic Americana, I’m personally partial to her post about stops on Route 66), and the occasional food and fitness post.

Angie has recently been traveling quite a lot, and I’ve been keeping up with her recent adventures in Singapore, in particular. Angie made it to the famous Marina Bay Sands hotel, with the famous pool that stretches above the Singapore skyline. Her photos take my breath away in both appreciation and nervousness. I loved the creative cocktail food pairings that she experiences at the Tippling Club (not to mention the gorgeously styled food.) And closer to home, Angie’s experience at The Botanist in Sloane Square reminds us why old favourites are favourites for a reason!

Van is a lovely blogger that I feel like I’ve “known” (or at least been reading) for ages, but have never had the chance to meet. The whole lives-in-the-Arctic thing can do that, I suppose! I love how original her adventures are and she’s a breath of fresh air in the travel blogging world! Just take a peek at her post on solo travel to inspire you to get out there alone. Definitely check out one of her latest adventures in Greenland! And if you are thinking of moving to Norway yourself, definitely read her post on expectations vs reality!

stephie
Blog // Facebook // Twitter // Instagram // Pinterest

I’ve been following Stephie’s blog for awhile now (I was first drawn to it because theatre professionals/lifestyle bloggers seem to be a rare breed.) I was quite envious of all my friends who were up at Fringe this summer, whilst I was working a pretty regular 9-5, but I got to live vicariously through Stephie’s summer scenes at Edinburgh Fringe. I recommend her musings on turning 25, to anyone new to reading ‘Tea in Your Twenties’, it’s a great introduction to the way that Stephie writes and thinks. And I personally adored her post on why finding your purpose shouldn’t mean splitting your soul.

I hope you’ve found some new lovely ladies to read and enjoy as much as I do!
