Life Lately || 10 Happy Things

I missed writing this post last Friday because we went up North late on Thursday night and were busy viewing flats for the entirety of the weekend. Has anyone else felt exhausted all week long? It’s just that time of year, I guess!

Can you believe that tomorrow is the beginning of October?! Halloween is the best, so bring it on!

10 Happy Things

>>> I’ve been much better about running lately, so I’ve given myself a hearty pat on the back for it.

>>> There’s a job that I really want up North (I’ve had my eye on it), so I spent a lot of this week brushing up my CV and writing cover letters.

>>> Sam and I also celebrated the 6th anniversary of our very first date. In true old married couple style, the day was marked with a homemade Sunday roast and Netflix.

>>> We were able to babysit for some friends who live down the road from us in London and their baby so is darn snuggly. Baby fat folds are the best.

>>> I’ve been going to some hot yoga classes at my local yoga studio. Want to find me? Look for the girl who stands out like a sore thumb: everyone else is in beautiful yoga gear (Sweaty Betty and Lululemon). I’m in men’s running shorts.

>>> It was an emotional long weekend up North – we found our dream property and then promptly lost it when the landlord decided that he’d rather have a single person than a couple rent his property. Honestly, it was gutting, but we have some other viewings scheduled to look forward to.

>>> I know I’m really far behind on TV viewing, obviously, but the show “Hannibal” is really good, is it not? Season 2 and 3 await me! (She says with absolute eagerness.)

>>> The citizenM hotel in Shoreditch is insanely amazing. On Tuesday evening, we had the best staycation. May I just move in there, please?

>>>We’ve had some awesome dinners this week: first of all, pad thai at Busaba Eathai, then Pizza Express on Thursday evening.

>>> Some much needed blog admin was finally accomplished. I’ve been putting off a few things for ages (mainly updating my media kit and about me page) but I’ve done them both now and feel pretty darn satisfied that it’s accomplished.

Sam and I are going to a wedding tomorrow that I’m very excited about. (I already know that there’s a ceilidh)
