Outfitting || I’m Dreaming of a Grey Christmas

I’ve been increasingly drawn to wearing grey – I’m not sure if it’s the hold that Scandi-themed Pinterest boards have on me, or York’s architectural aesthetic reaching into other aspects of my life. The vast majority of my wardrobe these days are neutrals (with the odd bright floral print thrown into the mix). If you’d have told that to me a few years ago, I never would have believed you! Joules is always one of my “go-to” brands. Particularly for coats and jumpers. My trusty winter parka is from Joules as is my shockingly yellow, but extraordinarily happy raincoat. (I’ll hold my hand up and admit that I have a pair of Joules wellies as well. Waterproof can totally come stylishly.)

If you’re still looking for some cozy knits to bundle up in over the festive period, I recommend popping in and taking a look around. The first outfit is one of their oversize jumpers (for maximum comfort) tucked into a skirt. I wore this as a day look, but with more dramatic makeup, a statement necklace and some jazzier shoes, this could definitely serve as a holiday party look. I really like the casualness of the dropped shoulders which adds a slightly unique aspect to it. The second outfit features a jumper with a beautiful cutaway inset of a woven floral print. It screams lazy afternoon brunch to me.

If you are still looking for some Christmas gifts (only 9 shopping days left!) then a cozy jumper would definitely be something that I’d suggest!
