It’s been awhile since I’ve updated you on the small things going on in my life lately – in fact it was back in the depth of winter still! So without further ado:
10 Things That Have Made Me Happy
>>> I had a very silly Valentine’s Day re-enacting famous paintings, making pizza from a Pizza Pilgrim kit and drinking Billecart Salmon Rose. Perfect.
>>> We finished our Virtual School (hopefully for the last time) and made it through the end of the term back in person to the Spring holidays, and now we are nearly at the half-term!
>>> I received my first round of the COVID vaccine, and I have my second round booked in for next week (all being well!)
>>> I was supposed to go to Brighton for New Year, then it was rescheduled for mid-April, and it has now been re-scheduled once again, hopefully for the last time, to my birthday at the end of May. Just in a few days time
>>> Ages ago, I had booked tickets for Paris in July. That’s still up in the air, of course. But I potentially have France to look forward to. If not, I’ll scrap that plan and put the money towards something else.
>>> I have two tattoo bookings for the summer. One in a few weeks the other in July and I can’t wait! One was an appointment from last year so I am delighted for it to finally go ahead.
>>> The boyfriend had his birthday. Luckily things had started to open up so we were able to meet his family outside and have a drink (albeit outdoors on quite a cold evening) but improvements!
>>> My hairdresser is magic, so even though she was able to open up on 12 April, she had so many appointments that she had to re-arrange and give priority to that she can’t fit me in until late in June. But I am most definitely looking forward to it. Though I did cut my own bob back in. It is certainly not great but after a year of not feeling like myself, I needed to have it done!
>>> We had light and warmth! It makes such a difference to my mood- I really can’t describe it.
>>> And last but certainly not least, I’ve had Harold for so much of the spring. It has been fantastic and he’s such a sweet, loyal and adorable beast. The ultimate goodboy.
