I’ve long claimed (and it’s true) that Hampstead is one of London’s most beautiful and my favourite parts of London. So, on a day off recently, I spent the day soaking up its glorious historical vibe. I love Hampstead because though it’s an area of extreme wealth, like Chelsea, Notting Hill and Mayfair, it’s an area of great character, something I feel is sadly being developed over in other parts of posh London.
Amongst all the hidden shops, higgledy-piggledy alleyways, and listed buildings are some of the most beautiful green spaces in London (and some great pubs too.) Never change Hampstead/Highgate. Expect maybe to become cheaper so that I can live there too.
Whilst there, I did a 60s fashion inspired outfit shoot, with a gorgeous UO dress that I nabbed in the after Christmas sales. I love the tiny pattern and the bow at the neck. Paired with boots, it’s the closet I’ve ever felt to go-go dancer inspired wear. I get so much pleasure out of wearing something that’s vintage inspired, so this has quickly become one of my favourite dresses.
My own Singing in the Rain moment.
Pretending to be a Victorian lamplighter. As one does.
