My Approach to Dressing for Work

I have a reasonably tightlipped policy about not ever blogging about work. I just don’t. I don’t think it’s fair to anyone and could be an encroachment on the privacy of others, or straight up a safety issue. Because, as we all know, the internet is not a safe place.

I am lucky enough to rarely ever have to wear formal business attire. That means that most of the time, I get the freedom of rocking pretty much whatever I want- within reason. If I want to wear a velvet blazer with jeans, I can.

While it looks like I am hailing an invisible cab, I was actually telling Sam a really enthusiastic story about people buying me shots at a work event, me not wanting them but being too polite to say “no” and turning around and systematically handing mine to other people.

Confession: Sam and I don’t own an iron. If something needs to be ironed, one of us puts it on and pulls it taut while the other gives it a go over with a heat blast from my hair dryer. We live like animals.
