What to Wear to an Afternoon Tea

I spend my fair share of time going to afternoon teas. What can I say? I love tiny foods and I love sweet things. Especially when there’s a lot of pomp and circumstance surrounding them. My ultimate dream would be to attend the big one on an anonymous village green somewhere that ends each season of the Great British Bake Off (either as a contestant or a guest.)

I’ve put together my ideal outfit with this lovely floral dress from M&Co with pockets! (And 3/4 length sleeves as the weather has already turned.) All the dresses from their Manhattan Rose collection would be equally adorable for a fall tea party though. I think a floral dress is always appropriate for a tea party, and the fact that it’s outside as well rules heels out for me. I hate aerating the lawn so a flat or a wedge it must be!

And now you can see how I’d style the same dress for everyday wear. In this case, on my way over to babysit my baby nephew on a Saturday.
