10 Happy Things Lifestyle

Life Lately || 10 Things That Made Me Happy This Week

The weather has been cold and unspring-like but at least we have another Bank Holiday here in England to look forward to. I’m super lucky that my birthday almost always falls on a 3 day weekend. In America it’s during Memorial Day weekend and in England the second May Bank Holiday.

birthday week 2016

>>> I haven’t been shouting it from the roof this year, but it’s my birthday week. (Okay, I did do a whole post on it yesterday…) My birthday is one of my favourite days because I am selfish like that.

>>> I had an awesome time at a garden party at Eltham Palace. If you missed it, you can read my post on it here

>>> Work has been hard lately. Really, really hard. Like working 15 days in a row hard and *maybe* crying because I was so desperately exhausted. I’m a “yes” girl, and say yes to everything because I don’t want to disappoint people. This week I did something really difficult for me, and admitted that I was struggling. Hopefully, things will improve as a reward for overcoming my stubborn mindset.

>>>I went to the House of Fraser AW16 press day this week and their upcoming lines are gorgeous. I love the focus on textures in some of their ladies clothing lines (very Scandi chic). And the Gray And Willow home line continues to hold the key to my heart.

Here, take a peek at some of my favourite pieces:

>>> I live streamed all of Bernie’s speech that he made in Albuquerque. I’m not going to lie – I was super disappointed that Hillary Clinton didn’t visit New Mexico herself and sent Bill in her stead.

>>> I received the super-secret gifts that I am giving to my bridesmaids. I’m over the moon with them and cannot wait.

>>> I also got some lovely time with our gorgeous nephew this week, who is becoming more a little boy and less of a toddler every single day.

>>> Game of Thrones. It killed me this week. I love it so much but…… Hodor.

>>> After almost 6 years in the UK, I finally bought my first raincoat. Sam thanks me greatly (I’ve been stealing his for just as long).

>>>We’ve been contemplating some pretty big life changes lately. And they appear potentially possible. Keep your eyes on this space for less vague updates in the future.
