On days like today (ie rainy and cold) I just want to stay in bed or on the sofa under piles of duvets and blankets with a lovely hot chocolate in one hand and a book in the other. (A plate of cookies can be on the table beside me.) There are few warm beverages I enjoy more than a rich, decadent cup of hot chocolate. And I’ve also been known to eat Nutella by the spoonful. So this winter I have started combining my love for those two things.
Ingredients:
4 cups of milk (I use semi-skimmed aka 2%)
1/2 cup of Nutella
garnishing of your choice: Whipped cream, chocolate shavings or sprinkles, toffee sauce, etc
Instructions:
In a saucepan bring your 4 cups of milk to a slow simmer. Then add in your Nutella and stir until thoroughly melted. Carefully pour the hot chocolate into mugs and add toppings to your hearts content. (Mine ended up with whipped cream, toffee sauce and chocolate shavings.)
