Everlane has long been one of my fashion favourites. I love their minimalist style coupled with their dedication to sustainability and making clothes that last. Everlane’s tagline is “Exceptional Quality. Ethical factories. Radical Transparency.”

The first thing I picked out was the Everlane Relaxed Boyfriend Jeans. These jeans. Lord, these jeans. I can’t sing their praises enough. I’ve been on an eternal hunt for a pair of boyfriend jeans that I really like that aren’t too short on me. (These are still slightly more cropped than I’d want, but it’s close). They are so comfortable – and dare, I say it – flattering – that I’ve not worn any other jeans since these arrived on my doorstep. The relaxed boyfriend jeans in vintage distressed blue are the most perfect boyfriend jean I’ve tried to date.

To wear with the jeans, I picked the cotton long-sleeve v-neck crop in heather grey. It is the perfect slouchy top that is thick enough to double for a jumper. Everyone has a favourite neckline and mine is certainly a v-neck. It’s nice to see a 100% cotton option as a lot of nice basics tend to be in wool (which I avoid). The drape of the top is nice, without being too boxy.

And last but certainly not least, the Japanese Go-Weave Long Slip dress. Despite the 90s baggage that comes with a slip dress, I love them. And I’ve been on the hunt for one I like for a while. I’ve seen some lovely things online, ordered them and then promptly sent them back because the shape just wasn’t quite right. I sized up on this dress due to the other reviews that I read online, but in retrospect, I wish I hadn’t. I’ll take it to the tailor to make a few adjustments, but otherwise it’s exactly what I wanted. It’s the kind of black dress that can be dressed up or down and I was so pleasantly surprised at how substantial the fabric is.

And last but certainly not least, I got to test out a brand new Everlane product: their rain boots. I love the ankle height (they are more useful for trudging to work in the rain than my wellies are) and the Chelsea stretch panels are a great comfort addition.

If you are ordering from the UK, I’d advise perhaps sizing down slightly. I ordered a size smaller than I usually do in the UK and I found that to be a good fit. (I always try to avoid any need to return clothing that’s been shipped from the States.)

Everlane is still by no means perfect. (If the idea of perfectly clean fashion does exist?) Everlane shares some great information on their website in regards to factories, living wages and production costs but there’s still room to grow. But I’d much rather give my money to a company that is trying to be better than any other high street brand.
