10 Happy Things Lifestyle

Life Lately || 10 Things that Have Made Me Happy Recently

Happy Friday everyone! It’s been about a month since I’ve done one of these posts so I thought it might be time to give a brief rundown of the little sparks of joy that came to me in July.

>>> I feel a bit guilty for enjoying the hot weather because of what it means for climate change both globally and in England, but I love the warm weather.

>>> Harold was neutered this month but he made a speedy and complication free recovery. I was very nervous dropping him off at the vet’s surgery and couldn’t wait to see his little face again. He didn’t love wearing the Cone of Shame but luckily that’s behind him for good.

>>> I’m going to be in another play in the autumn. My first Shakespeare in awhile.

>>> Harold won “Cutest Face” and “Reserve Best in Show” at a community charity fundraising dog show. I was the proudest dog mum ever.

>>> I watched the Lunar Eclipse a few weeks ago and it was just absolutely magical. I’m so glad that there was a lack of cloud-cover for once, as I’ve missed most of them this year for that reason.

>>> We took Harold to the “Pup Up Cafe” in Sheffield. It was a dog-day out for dachshunds and we had so much fun. I was in dog heaven. I’ve a whole post coming about it soon.

>>> It’s not until September but I’ve purchased my tickets to the NT Live screening of ‘Fleabag’ and I absolutely cannot wait!

>>> I was gifted some Evolve Organic Beauty products to try. Evolve is an award-winning natural skin care company based in Hertfordshire. All of their products are cruelty-free, vegan friendly and made in small batches.

I’m trying out the Rainforest Rescue Blemish Serum, the Evolve Daily Renew Facial Cream as well as the Hyaluronic Eye Complex. I’ll do a more in depth review once I’ve trialed the products for a bit longer but at the moment I’m especially loving the texture of the cream, the affordability and sustainability of the products and the smell of them.

>>> A friend introduced me to my new favourite walk just outside of York: Wheldrake Woods. It’s at the end of a residential neighbourhood and you’d never know it was there.

>>> I saw a friend’s one man show on the last day of the Yorkshire Fringe and it was absolutely lovely. I need to go see more theatre for sure!
