Recipe || Terry’s Chocolate Orange Tart

You might still have a Terry’s Chocolate orange hiding in the back of your cupboards post Christmas. Or maybe you don’t in which case this is an excellent opportunity to buy more!

Terry’s Chocolate Orange Tart

Ingredients:

Biscuit Base:
300 g Digestives
100 g Unsalted Butter

Tart Filling:
300 ml Double Cream
75 g Icing Sugar
250 g Terry’s Chocolate Orange

Sea salt (to top)
Extra chocolate orange slices (to top)

Directions:

Crush up your biscuits into a fine crumb. Melt your butter and then mix it into your biscuit crumbs until they are well combined. Press into the sides and base of a 23cm Pie/Flan Tin – I tend to squish the sides in first, and then do the base of it.  I used a flat bottomed cup to really help me press. Pop the base in the fridge whilst you make your filling.

Chop the chocolate up and melt it bain marie. Whip the cream and the icing sugar up to soft peaks. Let your chocolate cool a bit and then lightly fold the cream into your chocolate. Spread the mixture onto your biscuit base.

Top with extra orange slices and a sprinkle of sea salt. Then leave the tart to set in the fridge for 5-6 hours, or overnight.
