Life Lately || 10 Happy Things

This type of post used to be a Rhyme & Ribbons regular, but I’ve realised that it has been almost a year since I have written a post like this – last October in fact! You can read the last post here.

Now that today is the first day of school, I’ll cover all the things that made me happy this summer.

10 Happy Things

>>> I loved Cornwall so much when we went for my birthday that now we are seriously considering it as a place to live in the long-term. We returned later in July for a long weekend in Newquay and I am pretty convinced. I think I need to visit in the winter before making the decision though.

>>> I attended a Woman’s Full Moon Circle and loved it. I want to try to make it as frequent an occurrence as possible and attend whenever I can.

>>> David was away on a stag do so I treated myself to a relaxing weekend in Cambridge. Spa, red light therapy, yoga classes and healthy foods. Dreamy. Absolutely fantastic.

>>> We went and saw BoyGenius, Muna and Ein concert in London in August and it was amazing. We were definitely the oldest people there but it was so much fun. They were all incredible artists!

>>> Last weekend David, Harold and I went camping. It was damp and beautiful. It felt very autumnal.

>>> I’ve been really focussing on my health lately. Moving my body, eating well, taking supplements and avoiding foods that irritate me (dairy and saddest of all, gluten).

>>> I went on a fun press trip to Tenerife. It was so nice to be invited somewhere again and be able to actually attend. (There are a few press trips that I’ve had to turn down because they have fallen in term time.)

>>> I saw the ‘Barbie’ film. (Not ‘Oppenheimer’ sorry, not sorry.) It was fun and I really enjoyed it.

>>> I’ve prioritised reading and being outside this summer and it has been such a delight.

>>> I’ve had to buy new glasses but the shopping experience at Cubbits was absolutely amazing. Maybe I’ll actually wear them instead of my contacts sometimes!

What have you been up to lately?

It’s back to school now for me but I’m also doing some pre and post natal yoga training in September that I’m really excited about.
