Wearing || Tulle in Paris

Tulle in Paris, what a cliche, right? But one I fully embraced because I wanted to live out all of my innermost Carrie Bradshaw fantasies. Despite the fact that Carrie is the worst.

Tulle skirts are one of those fashion statement pieces that I’ve always wanted to wear but was afraid to. I wasn’t afraid because I thought they were too gimmicky, or too trendy, or too feminine. No, I didn’t wear tulle skirts, especially midi length because I thought they mad me look too bulky in the hips. Which is just ridiculous. As I’m ever slowly approaching the end of my twenties, I want to work hard to not have the same physical hang ups in my thirties. And that includes not letting anything dictate what I want to wear besides my own taste.

Tulle was easier to pair than one might at first think. Since the skirt is so attention grabbing I didn’t want to rock any frills up top and tried to keep things structured but simple. I try to pack light so my cropped leather jacket is my go-to because it’s versatile enough to provide my warm layer in pretty much any spring outfit. Plus it was a nice contrast to the playfulness of the skirt.
